Title: HiPIMS-enabled Hydrogen-free Carbon-based Nanocomposite Coatings for High-performance PEMFC Bipolar plates

 

Profile:

Yixiang Ou, Ph.D., Professor/Research Fellow, Director of Joint Laboratory of Advanced Energy Materials and Intelligent Equipment in Beijing Academy of Science and Technology (BAST). He respectively earned the BAST Outstanding Young Talent, Leading Talent of Suzhou Gusu Science and Technology and the Leading Talent of Beijing New Materials Innovation Studio. He finished Postdoctoral research at the State Key Laboratory of New Ceramics and Fine Processing, Tsinghua University after his Ph.D graduation from Dalian University of Technology and the joint Ph.D University of Colorado School of Mines supported by Scholarship from China Scholarship Council.

His group focuses on the research in advanced materials technology and industrial application based on the combined deep oscillation magnetron sputtering (DOMS) and HiPIMS with over 50 SCI papers published in journals, such as Progress in Materials Science, Corrosion Science, Chemical Engineering Journal, Carbon, Surface and Coatings Technology, Applied Surface Science, etc. He successively led over 20 projects including China Postdoctoral Science Foundation projects, National Natural Science Foundation of China general projects, Beijing Academy of Science and Technology Innovation Cultivation, BAST Seedling Talent, BAST Innovation Project, National Major Science and Technology Special Project topics, and enterprise-commissioned projects. He applied for over 30 national invention patents and got one Science and Technology Progress Award from the China Private Economy Promotion Association. Serves as a member of the National Committee for Metal and Non-metallic Coatings Standards, Co-Chair of the International Thin Film Society Branch, Co-Chair of the HiPIMS Forum of the International Heat Treatment Society, Director of the Ray Beam Technology Branch of the Chinese Nuclear Society, Talent Review Expert of the Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Commission, and Review Expert for the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the Beijing Natural Science Foundation projects, etc.
