Abstract:
Advanced aircraft urgently require high-performance aircraft engines. High performance gas turbines are urgently needed for ships, power equipment, and other applications. The effective protection of high-temperature hot end components of aircraft engines, ground heavy gas turbines, and ship gas turbines cannot be achieved without thermal protection coatings.
This report combines the research progress of our research group in the fields of nanostructured thermal barrier coatings, nanostructured environmental barrier coatings, and nano modified base coatings in the past two decades. It introduces the research progress of thermal protection coatings from the following four levels, emphasizing the innovative development ideas in the research process:.
1. Nanostructured ceramic coating has been successfully applied.
2. Pain points still exist in the thermal protection coatings.
3. Innovation in Materials and Micro/Nano Structures of Coatings.
4. Concept of New Structural Thermal Protection Coatings.
Finally, the broad application prospects of nanostructured thermal protective coatings on hot end components of aircraft engines and gas turbines were discussed.
