Profile:
Yan Liu, Professor and PhD supervisor at Southwest Jiaotong University, a national-level young talent, currently serving as Vice Dean of the School of Materials at Southwest Jiaotong University, concurrently as Director of the National Experimental Teaching Demonstration Center for Materials Science and Engineering (Southwest Jiaotong University), Deputy Director of the Key Laboratory of Advanced Structural Materials for the Railway Industry, Deputy Director of the Sichuan Advanced Welding and Surface Engineering Technology Research Center, and a member of the Standing Committee of the Youth Committee of the Welding Branch of the China Mechanical Engineering Society. His main research direction is laser additive manufacturing and remanufacturing technology. In the past five years, he has presided over more than 20 projects including the National Natural Science Foundation of China, national key research and development plans, Sichuan Provincial Science and Technology Support Plan, Sichuan Provincial International Cooperation Projects, and enterprise cooperation projects. He has published more than 50 SCI papers as the first or corresponding author, and has won 2 first prizes (ranked 2nd and 4th) and 1 second prize (ranked 4th) for scientific and technological progress in Sichuan Province, 1 first prize (ranked 2nd) and 1 second prize (ranked 4th) for teaching achievements in Sichuan Province, 1 first prize (ranked 2nd) for scientific and technological progress in the China Surface Engineering Association, 1 first prize (ranked 4th) for science and technology in the nonferrous metals industry, 1 second prize (ranked 2nd) for scientific and technological progress from the Ministry of Education, 1 second prize (ranked 4th) for scientific and technological progress in the China Aeronautical Society, and has won the Zhan Tianyou Youth Award for Railway Science and Technology and the First Prize of the Metallurgical Youth Science and Technology Award from the Sichuan Metallurgical Society.
