Title: Laser Additive Manufacturing and Repair of High-Reflectivity Materials Utilizing Blue Wavelength

Profile:

Hongze Wang is a tenured associate professor and PhD supervisor at Shanghai Jiao Tong University’s School of Materials Science and Engineering. He is a National Excellent Youth Fund (Overseas) recipient, a MIT Technology Review China 35 Under 35 awardee, a Shanghai 35 Under 35 honoree, a CYLC Strong Country Young Scientist, a Marie Curie Fellow of the EU, a Shanghai high-level overseas talent, and an ICCES Outstanding Young Scholar. He has conducted fundamental and applied research in additive manufacturing in Japan, Canada, and the UK. He has led many domestic and international research projects, including NSFC (AI - specific, general, and youth funds), MOST international cooperation projects, and COMAC innovation funds. He has published over 100 papers in top journals like Science, Nature Communication, and Progress in Materials Science, and applied for or been granted over ten national invention patents. His work was selected as one of China’s Top Ten Non - ferrous Metal Science Technology and Achievements in 2023 (rank 1) and won a silver award at Shanghai’s Outstanding Invention Contest (rank 1).
