Title: Microstructural Control Strategies and Long-Term Performance of Protective Nitride Coatings in Harsh Environments

Profile:

Zhaohe Gao, Currently an Associate Professor at the Institute of Materials Genome Insitute, Shanghai University, and an Honorary Research Fellow at the University of Birmingham, UK. Received Ph.D. from the School of Materials, University of Manchester, and subsequently conducted postdoctoral research at the same institution and the Henry Royce Institute. Later worked as a Research Fellow at the Electron Microscopy Centre of the University of Birmingham, and held a tenured Assistant Professorship at Coventry University, UK. Over the years, has been dedicated to the high-throughput development and multiscale structural characterization of nitride protective coatings and thermal barrier coatings for aero engines. Published over 30 scientific papers in internationally renowned SCI journals and holds 12 authorized patents across China, the US, Australia, Japan, and the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).
