Title: Self-adaptive and Self-healing Tribological Behaviors of Magnetron Sputtered WS(C,N) Nanocomposite Coatings  

Profile:

Dr. Huatang Cao is a professor and Ph.D. supervisor at the School of Materials Science and Engineering, Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST). He was selected for both the National and Hubei Provincial High-Level Overseas Talent Programs. He received his Ph.D. degree from the University of Groningen, the Netherlands in 2019, and worked as postdoc researcher at the University of Manchester, UK from 2019 to 2022. He joined the State Key Laboratory of Materials Processing and Die & Mould Technology and the School of Materials Science and Engineering at HUST in 2022. His research interests include PVD functional protective coatings, high-energy beam metal surface modification, tribology, solid lubrication and physical metallurgy such as metal solidification and additive manufacturing. Up to date, he has co-authored around 60 scientific papers in international SCI journals, with a H-index of 21.
