Title: Effect of Substrate Bias on the Microstructure, Mechanical and Tribological Properties of Cr/WC/C Coatings

Profile:

Xiaopan Wu is an Assistant Researcher at the Institute of Radiation Technology, Beijing Academy of Science and Technology, focusing on the development of ultra-high-strength and high-toughness hydrogen-free carbon-based nanocomposite coatings. Her collaborative research with her team on three novel hydrogen-free carbon-based nanocomposite (Cr, Ti)/(Cr, Ti)-C-N/C coatings has been published in high-impact journals including the Journal of Power Sources. Dr. Wu's research spans a broad spectrum of materials science, encompassing: high-entropy alloys (weldability, electrochemical corrosion behavior, antibacterial properties), thermodynamic optimization and calculation of phase diagrams, aging precipitation sequences in Mg-rare earth alloys, and inorganic non-metallic materials (e.g., surface chemical state of mechanochemically activated alumina-based powders, deposition of Cu metal layers on alumina ceramic substrates via atmospheric plasma spraying). Her work in these areas has been featured in renowned international and domestic journals such as CALPHAD, Journal of Magnesium and Alloys, and Advanced Powder Technology. At this conference, she will present her findings on the influence of substrate bias voltage on the microstructure, mechanical properties, and tribological performance of Cr/WC/C coatings.
