Title: Thermal Barrier Coating R&D Driven by the Synergy of Computing, Data, and AI

Profile:

Professor Xiaoyu Chong is a doctoral supervisor at Kunming University of Science and Technology. He was selected for the 6th China Association for Science and Technology "Youth Talent Lift Project". Professor Chong served as a research assistant professor at Pennsylvania State University in the United States, working under the guidance of Professor Zi-Kui Liu, the founder of the "Materials Genome" concept. His research focuses on algorithm and software development for high-throughput first-principles calculations coupled with phase diagram thermodynamics and machine learning at multiple scales. Professor Chong has published over 100 papers in journals such as Acta Mater, Scripta Mater, Appl. Phys. Lett., and J. Am. Chem. Soc. He has been granted 30 national invention patents and 10 software copyrights. Professor Chong has led over 20 projects and received the first prize of the Innovation Award in the Invention and Entrepreneurship Award by the China Invention Association, the first prize of the China Rare Earth Science and Technology Award, the first prize of the Yunnan Province Technological Invention Award.
