Title: Residual Stress Distribution and Fatigue Properties of Carburized, Nitrided, and Carbonitrided Steels

Profile:

Dr. Yu-kui GAO, Professor of School of Materials Science and Engineering, Tongji University. After graduated from Yanshan University in2000, he has been working as the Group Leader of Surface Enhancement at Beijing Institute of Aeronautical Materials for a period of 12 years. Since 2012, he has been working for Tongji University. His main interests include surface integrity, surface modification, shot peening, laser peening, pulsed electron beam treatment, residual stress, fatigue and fracture of aircraft components. He proposed a new surface enhancement mechanism of shot peening and made the shot peening operation specification of China Aviation Industry (HB/Z26-2011). In 2014, he edited a book entitled “Surface Integrity Theory and Its Applications”, which was financially supported by the National Publication Fund and published by Chemistry Industry Press. He published some papers in the journals of Acta Materialia, Materials Science and Engineering, Materials Letters, Applied Surface Science. In 2015, he got the Youth Science and Technology Achievement Award of “Zhouzhihong” of Chinese Heat Ttreatment Society.
