Title:  Effect of ZrO2 Reinforcement Concentration on the Growth of Plasma Electrolytic Oxide Layer on Mg-Zn-Y/ZrO2 Nanocomposite

 

Profile:

Dr. Anawati is an associate professor at the Materials Science, Physics Department, University of Indonesia. She is a lecturer at the undergraduate physics program and postgraduate materials science program at University of Indonesia. Her research field focuses on the plasma electrolytic oxidation (PEO) for protection and surface functionalization of Mg and Ti alloys and their composites for biomedical implant application. She also leads research on PEO of Zr alloys for nuclear cladding application and Al alloys for wider application. She gained her bachelor’s degree from Physics Department, Institute Technology Bandung, Indonesia, and her master’s program from Advanced Materials Program at Chalmers University of Technology Sweden. She continued her PhD at Materials Technology Program, Norwegian University of Science and Technology, NTNU Norway. Afterward, she spent three years as a postdoc at Kogakuin University in Japan and one year at Fontana Corrosion Center, Ohio State University in USA.
